Exploring seven continents, expanding our horizons
This April, I find myself heading to South Africa with my mom, who is 83, my son, and my niece. How did this happen?
The trip started out as a revisit to Israel for just my mom and me. We had been in 2018 with moody Bible Institute. It was a great tour, but I wanted to be able to set my own pace and linger more often, commune more extensively, expereince Jerusalem in more detail.
But with the devastating war there now, we suddenly had to change our plans. With a whopping $4000 in ticket credit to repurpose, we were racking our brains trying to figure out what to do... We decided a distant land it had to be! My son said, "You should go to Africa." I looked at him and said, "OMG! We should! And you should come with us!" My niece is also joining in, so our little crew is heading very far away very soon.

This sparked my goal to hit all seven continents somewhere in the next period of time, like before I die. Along with ith my son, my other kids, my niece, my mom, my bestie, and anyone else who is game for the journey! Heck, if my mom can trek to Africa at 83, I can certainly do this!
